Flooring Installation in Meridian, Idaho
Meridian Quality Flooring provides flooring installation in Meridian, Idaho. We lay LVP, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl plank on Ada County slabs and joists. Kitchen runs, stair treads, basement moisture jobs, and tear-out all come through this number. South of I-84, Old Town along Pine, and custom streets north of McMillan sit on the same list.
Call with the town, the rooms, and whether this is LVP, hardwood, or a repair. Same week estimates in most cases. Photos of the subfloor help. We quote before a plank is cut.
Residential Flooring Installation in Meridian
Flooring installation
The head job is subfloor, product, layout, and transitions. We install. We do not run a showroom. Production slabs in south Meridian and mixed joists in Old Town both start with a moisture and flatness check. See flooring installation .
LVP flooring
Click-lock or glue-down luxury vinyl plank on a broom-finish slab is the production default. Wear-layer mils and core type matter more than the color chip. Details live on LVP flooring .
Hardwood flooring
Solid nail-down on joists or engineered on a slab. Acclimate to this dry bench before a fastener goes in. Hardwood flooring covers species, grade, and site-finish versus prefinish.
Laminate flooring
A floating fiberboard core with a photo wear layer. It is not LVP. Underlayment, expansion, and a flat plane keep it from peaking. See laminate flooring .
Vinyl plank
Searchers who say vinyl plank usually want rigid-core or a glue-down plank, not sheet goods. Waterproof claims still need a dry slab. Vinyl plank is that job.
Engineered hardwood
Plywood or HDF core with a real wood wear layer. Better on a slab than solid in many Meridian houses. Engineered hardwood covers float, glue, and nail methods.
Flooring repair
Peaked click-lock after a leak, a swollen run, and a stair nosing that let go. We replace what failed and stop at sound floor. See flooring repair .
Hardwood refinishing
Sand, stain if you want a color change, and coat existing hardwood. Dust control and wear-layer thickness decide if the floor can take another sand. Hardwood refinishing .
Stair flooring
Treads, risers, and nosings are a different bid than the hallway. Builder carpet stairs in Tuscany and Paramount are a common pull. See stair flooring .
Basement flooring
Moisture first. A rated LVP on a slab that still reads wet is a peel. Basement flooring starts with a test, not a color.
Bathroom flooring
Water at the shower, toilet flange height, and a wet-room SKU the mill lists. Bathroom flooring is not a leftover box from the hall.
Kitchen flooring
Islands, appliance pulls, and a hard-use zone. LVP and hardwood are different jobs here. See kitchen flooring .
Floor removal
Carpet, pad, staples, tack strip, and glue-down mastic. Haul-off is part of the bid. Floor removal is the tear-out, not the new plank.
Waterproof flooring
Waterproof is a product claim. Edges, expansion, and vapor still have to be right. Waterproof flooring is for laundry, baths, and slabs on irrigated lots.
Commercial Flooring Services
Commercial flooring
Offices, suites at The Village at Meridian, and shop offices on Chinden and Fairview use a different traffic class than a house. Glue-down LVT and after-hours work are common. See commercial flooring .
Why Meridian Property Owners Call Meridian Quality Flooring
Meridian counted 117,635 people in 2020. It is Idaho's second-largest city and the fastest-growing in the state. The town was platted in 1893 on homestead land and named for the Boise Meridian. Irrigation from the Nampa-Meridian and Settlers districts turned dry bench into farms. Most houses went up after 1990 on that former ground.
The stock is not one floor. South of I-84 the new-construction belt still moves: Tuscany, Century Farm, Sky Mesa, Movado, Cadence, Reflection Ridge. Those slabs are broom finish over fill. Old Town along Pine, Main, and Meridian Road still has joists, mixed underlayment, and rooms that are not square. North of McMillan the plats are master-planned. Paramount, Bridgetower, The Oaks North, SpurWing, Lochsa Falls, and Settlers Bridge show up on the same calendar as Kuna and Star.
We work to National Wood Flooring Association install practice and to the mill's instructions for the plank in the box. Those are industry documents, not a credential of this brand. ASTM F2170 relative humidity and ASTM F1869 calcium chloride are the moisture tests we use on slabs. Flatness is a straightedge job: many LVP and laminate sheets want no more than 3/16 inch in 10 feet. Expansion gaps follow the mill, often 1/4 inch at walls.
Treasure Valley summers pass 100 F. A south-facing great room with west glass cooks a floating floor if the gap is tight. Winters are cold with light snow. Unheated new shells in January need the product acclimated in the room, not in a truck. Elevation here is about 2,599 feet. Humidity stays low. That is why we talk about acclimation, vapor, and expansion, not a catalog from a wetter state.
Call with the job and the town. We quote the rooms in front of you. We install floors across Ada County.
Our Flooring Process
Scope the rooms
We need the city, the rooms, a square-foot guess, and the product family. Photos of the existing floor and any open slab help. We do not treat a national cost guide as your bid.
Check the subfloor
Moisture on the slab. High spots and dips. Old adhesive. Irrigation laterals on older lots. A floor that fails here fails after the plank looks done.
Install to the mill sheet
Click-lock, glue-down, nail-down, or a sand-and-coat. Transitions, reducers, and stair noses are part of the same day, not a leftover punch.
Walk the cuts
We check expansion, door clears, and appliance pulls before we leave. You get a quote first. You get a walk at the end.
Areas We Serve
We work from Meridian across Ada County and into Canyon County. Dedicated pages: Boise , Nampa , Eagle , Kuna , Star , Caldwell , Garden City , Middleton , Emmett , Hidden Springs , south Meridian , and Melba . Call if your town is next door and the job is a real install or repair.
Paramount, Bridgetower, Tuscany, Century Farm, and Lochsa Falls are the plats we name because that is where the slabs and the LVP actually sit. Corridors along Chinden Boulevard, Eagle Road, Fairview, Ten Mile, Locust Grove, Linder, McMillan, and Lake Hazel carry both houses and tenant work. Landmarks such as The Village at Meridian, Settlers Park, Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park, and the Meridian Idaho Temple mark the map, not a shop.
Angi publishes vinyl flooring work SKIP, with many jobs clustering near $2,562. Fixr puts many luxury vinyl plank rooms near an $800 to $2,400 band for about 200 square feet. HomeAdvisor lists hardwood installs in a band near $2,500 to $6,740 and refinishing near $1,107 to $2,681. Those are national averages, not our price. Square footage, tear-out, moisture repair, and stairs move a Meridian quote.
If you searched flooring installation in Meridian, Idaho, the number on this page is the one to use. West Ada schools, the Idaho State Police campus, and Renaissance Park in Tuscany sit on the same map as the houses we floor. They are landmarks, not a shop.
Questions
How do we get a flooring installation estimate?
Call or text with the town, the rooms, and a rough square footage. Say if carpet is coming up or the slab is already open. A photo of the subfloor helps more than a product name from a box. We look at flatness and moisture before we quote. Same week looks in most cases.
Do you run a flooring showroom in Meridian?
No. We install. We do not stock aisles of samples or sell design packages. Bring the product you already bought or name a mill and a thickness. We check that the plank is legal for the room, then we lay it. Capell, Abbey Carpet, and the big showrooms already own merchandising. This site is for the crew.
Which product do most Meridian houses get?
Luxury vinyl plank on a production slab is the common job south of I-84. Older Boise joists still take solid or engineered hardwood. Laminate is a separate floating system, not a cheaper LVP. Stairs, baths, and basements change the spec even when the plank looks the same in a photo.
Do you take small rooms or only whole houses?
Both. A powder room, a kitchen and hall, and a whole main floor all come through this number. Say the room count so we bid tear-out, transitions, and stair nosings the right way. A closet is still a real job if the subfloor is open. We quote the rooms you name.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. We quote before a plank is cut. There is no charge to look. You are not booked until you accept the quote from the contractor who takes the call. Have the town and a one-line description ready. Photos of existing floor and any open slab help.
Which towns do you work in?
Meridian is the hub. We also work in Boise, Nampa, Eagle, Kuna, Star, Caldwell, Garden City, Middleton, Emmett, Hidden Springs, south Meridian, and Melba. If your town is next door and the job is real flooring work, call. Name the city first so the routing is right.
